Labrador West sends delegation to CIM held in Edmonton

In partnership with the Town of Labrador City, the entity proving to be the proponent of the delegation initiative, members within our region were able to attend the CIM in Edmonton from May 1st-8th, 2008. Thanks to a program spearheaded by ACOA, Labrador West Chamber of Commerce delegates Patsy Ralph (Business Manager), Jason Ste. Marie (Co-Chair - Iron Ore Symposium) and Don Stoddart (Co-Chair-Iron Ore Symposium) were able to attend. Also in attendance were Bryan Jarrett (Town of Labrador City - Economic Development) as well as Deputy Mayor Janice Barnes.
The opportunity proved to be a resounding success due to the amount of informative conference sessions and activities. Just as importantly, the delegation was able to network and discuss with countless individuals and organizations at the Trade Exhibition and were able to garner considerable anticipated support for the Iron Ore Symposium, which is to be held from February 11th-13th, 2009.
